Basic Working Description
A standard boat inboard-outboard unit is used with a short driveline hooked to the front of the engine driving the pump assembly.  The pump assembly consists of two main pumps and one auxiliary pump.  The main pumps operate the forward and rear wheels.  Forward and reverse are part of the main pump function.  The auxiliary pump runs  wheel retraction and deck functions.

Vessel is powered by one engine, which provides power for both boat and wheel propulsion.  Engine and outdrive unit operate as a boat would (i.e. dash mounted throttle and forward/reverse controls).

To operate as a car requires the throttle on the dash being raised some.  The gear shifter on the steering column is pulled from neutral to reverse or forward as desired.  Breaking is via hydraulics.

To operate as a boat requires simply putting in the plug after which vessel is ready to launch.  Once wheels are brought to their top position, vessel can be brought to cruising speed of approximately 30 knots.  I wish!

When ready to go ashore, wheels are lowered, outdrive is raised slightly and vessel is driven ashore.  Once safely ashore engine is idled down and outdrive is placed in a neutral prior to extended road travel.
